Blue tit sitting on Catkin branch. This is an original textile artwork by Heidi Meier.
It shows a blue tit, one of our much loved British birds, perching on a twig with catkins, a lovely Spring sight! The Bluetit has been worked in free motion embroidery, which is where the artist uses a sewing machine needle as a pencil, to draw in colour and shape and detail.
The artwork is stretched and framed in a quality white frame and mounted with a double cream conservation mount. Overall the frame measures 11 by 13 inches (280mm by 330mm) and the embroidery aperture is 7.25 by 9.25 inches (185mm by 235mm). All measurements approximate.
This British bird artwork is a lovely gift for anyone who loves birds or birdwatching, and is as at home in a study or library as much as it is in a lounge, kitchen, bedroom or conservatory!
Can be hung up on the wall or propped free standing on a shelf or mantelpiece..
