By buying this piece you will help support Hollyhedge Animal Sanctuary and the animals there. The frame was from the RSPCA so they have also benefitted through this piece.

French Bulldog Painting on a Fortnum and Mason Smoky Earl Grey Teabag.
Mounted and framed in a gold coloured, crackle glaze frame.
I have swapped the Teabag string for a piece of gold coloured embroidery thread.
This French Bulldog in the Portrait is ‘Buddy’, a Rescue Dog From Hollyhedge Animal Sanctuary. I use gold in the piece to represent Kintsugi, a Japanese art form where gold is used to repair broken pottery to make it even more beautiful than it was before. The gold thread represents how Rescue dogs are being given another chance, after sometimes coming from such broken lives and who are being repaired and given a more beautiful life.
To try and limit consumption, I always use pre-loved frames that are still in a good, useable condition.
Buddy is mounted on dark brown card, surrounded by a cream mount.
