Full description
A mixed media piece of textile art, using needle felting, beading and embroidery. Sherlock and Watson owls have been felted then small pieces of tweed fabric have been used to create a hat and waist coats! I have created the background using a base fabric of calico, then appliquéd tiny pieces of Liberty fabric around the door. The front door has hand embroidered gold work door knocker, letterbox and door knob. The Baker Street sign has been hand stitched and french knot wisteria give this design a whimsical feel. A lantern made out of wire and buttons complement the little diorama.
This little piece of textile loveliness has been assembled in a shadow box frame and has no glass inside, because well, you can't keep the famous detective locked up, he likes to observe all that goes on around him. I am sure he would love to land on your wall and keep his beady eyes on you, as always he's kept company by his trusty side kick Dr Watson.

Depth: 3.5cm.
Metal hook on back ready to hang.
Postage will be within three days of purchase.
