Full description

Signed and dated one-off hand-stitched collage made from discarded papers, using my nana’s old silk thread.

David Cassidy, who died on 12th April, 2017.

15 x 21cms, unframed.

Made from a cutting from the Metro (23.11.17. Photograph: Getty Images) and a page from A Concise History Of Modern Painting by Herbert Read (Thames And Hudson, 30 Bloomsbury Street, London WC1. Sixth impression, 1964).

The background image is Reds And Yellows Of Harvest Time by Guiseppe Santomaso, 1957.

The crown came from an advert for the Tower Of London, cut from Time Out London (31 Jan – 6 Feb, 2017). The photographer was uncredited. Royal Collections Trust.

The banana was cut from the Guardian (18.1.18). Photo: dutchscenery/ gettyimages/ istockphotoagency (take your pick!).

£5 from this sale will go to Arts Emergency. This is a small London based charity aiming to ensure university doors are kept open for those most able to benefit from, but least able to pay for education.

In keeping with my eco-friendly ethos, it will arrive in a package made from used magazines and the like. I do not use single-use plastic and parcel tape.

Can be sent as a gift, with words of your choice.

Please be aware that if you live outside the EU you may be subject to a charge in accordance with your country's customs/duties laws. Free UK delivery.
