We wanted to make some boards for children so we cut some boards to a smaller size than usual and painted them in bright blue and red.

When we were thinking about what designs to do on our painted boards, they seemed to fit with a football theme so we got some football decals and painted some solid wood door knobs before fitting the decals to them.

The decals and door knobs are not recycled but we are looking for a supplier for wooden door knobs made from recycled wood. We would rather handpaint the footballs onto the door knobs but they are harder to paint than they look. We're practicing so we can handpaint them in the future.

We love the quirkiness and character of these boards. Even though we painted them with thick acrylic paint, the grain still shows through, especially on the red one.
