Item details

This painting is a watercolour of spring flowers in red, yellow and purple. It is painted onto a recycled scaffold board and comes with a fixing which is not fixed to the board. This just needs to be screwed on to attach the painting to a nail in the wall.

We are happy to talk to you about painting a bespoke board for you. Just message us with an image of what you want.

We can also add a message, name, date or other important text to the board if you are giving it as a gift.

This board was inspired by a glimpse of spring that came in the middle of the second Beast of the East storm that hit the UK in March 2018. There was one day of sunshine amongst all the rain and wind and the first glimpses of flower buds could be seen emerging from their winter sleep.

We work on recycled scaffold boards and they are a perfect, natural but challenging base for our paintings. The grains send the paint in a different direction than we want it to go and the grooves cause gaps in the lines of our work, or cause the paint to 'puddle' in them. We love the challenge and feel that it's the imperfections present in the boards that gives our paintings character.
