Handmade Peacock Feather Ceramic brooch

Handmade Peacock Feather Ceramic brooch
£6.00 4 Available
Love this

Made from white earthenware clay, this series of textured brooches are handmade from start to finish. Initially the peacock feather texture is applied to the surface of the clay using a wooden block. Each piece is then air dried for several days before being kiln fired to form bisqueware.

Next to the fun bit, applying colour! I hand paint each brooch using a combination of peacock coloured underglazes. Before dipping in a glossy transparent glaze and firing for the final time. A brooch pin is then attached to each piece and ta-da it’s ready to wear!

Please note each brooch is completely unique due to the making process. Therefore the sizes are not necessarily uniform.

Small Round - Up to 2cm in diameter
Large Round - Up to 3.5cm in diameter
Triangular - Sides are 3cm
