I simply love this style of furniture and finding these stunning little bedsides was very exciting for me. It's not often that I come across pieces such as these, especially in such a lovely vintage condition. Their history is rather lovely too, being bought initially as a wedding present (back in the 1960's) they have been loved and cherished! So to bring them up to date, their renovation was indeed an immense pleasure and they are now ready for the next chapter in their lives!

These beautiful bedsides are now sold, however, I do have similar items in stock and available for commission, please ask for further details.
These stunning Louis style bedsides have been very carefully restored using Annie Sloans fabulous chalk paint and waxes. I have used a very soft cream with a clear wax over to add durability and a subtle sheen. The drawers are really gorgeous too, with cherry blossom decoupage and the original brass handles adding to the pretty overall look. To blend the handles into the pieces new style, they have been given a swish of colour too, with just a touch of Old White to excentuate their detail. The insides of each drawer has also been painted, this time in a soft duck egg shade, adding just an extra bit of colour to each piece.
I'd say one of the most striking features of these gorgeous little bedsides must be their elegantly shaped legs. They are long and curved, totally stunning and very French in their style. So overall these would be a beautiful addition to a glamourous French inspired boudoir!
I am also able to create custom pieces to match these bedsides, so please do ask about vintage chests of drawers and dressing tables available for commission.
