Wood engraving usually requires a lot of planning, transferring the design to the block and refining the mark making as you go along. The green man was an experiment in working on
A. A tiny block
B. Just going for it without a preset design.
The result is as spontaneous as you can get when using razor sharp gravers !

An original signed print from a wood engraved boxwood block measuring approx 1 1/2 " x 1 3/4".
Hand burnished on Japanese paper with Caligo relief ink and a teaspoon.
The engraving comes with a die cut plain white paper mount suitable for a 4 " x 6 " frame.
The frame is not included in your purchase but is a standard size and I have included a photo to show how it could look.
Each print is an original, there will be slight variations from print to print due to the process of hand printing but I aim for a consistent quality.
He was created freehand on a small block using traditional hand engraving tools and a magnifying lamp.
