A roll of 2.5" wide fabric strips caught my eye in local fabric shop. I wanted to make an elegant runner using quilting to add an extra dimension to the delicate colour palette.

Full description
Long strips of fabric in delicate neutral shades give this slim line table runner an easy elegance. I've added fussy-cut squares of a darker fabric to add interest and contrast. Softness and texture is added to the runner with the use of wavy quilt stitching running the length of the piece.
The runner is made of 100% cotton fabrics. The backing is soft unbleached cotton calico and the inner wadding is Hobbs 80% Cotton 20% Polyester. The binding around the edge of the runner is 100% cotton and I've neatly hand stitched it to the backing.
At 22cm x 158cm (8.5 x 62") this runner would look elegant on a formal dining table, a sideboard, kitchen table, dresser or coffee table.
Machine washable on a gentle cycle.
