Birds are one of my favourite subjects to paint, so I really enjoyed making this series of watercolour studies.
Gardeners and fellow bird-lovers might enjoy a selection of these square cards as a gift.

Full description
One of my all time favourite sounds is the blackbird singing on a summer evening. We get plenty of blackbirds in the garden, so I'm never short of models to paint.
The blackbird is featured on this 300 gsm square card (148 mm x 148 mm) in a typical alert pose, listening intently. I painted a series of twelve bird studies in watercolour for a calendar project, and decided to design cards using the same paintings. The birds were all painted on Saunders Waterford paper, which gives a lovely soft texture to the illustrations.
The bird's name and Latin name appear by the painting.
The reverse of the card features three colours picked from the illustration.
The card is supplied with a white laid envelope.
Your card will be carefully packaged in a cello bag and posted to you in a sturdy board back envelope.
