Honestly? I was looking for something small and simple to supplement the more expensive items on my craft stall! And I remembered as a child always liking leather hair barrettes, but I never had long enough hair to wear one. So I did a bit of research into what size to do them, and this is the finished product.
I chose a simple plain design because sometimes simple is best :)
