When I told friends I was making small leather goods I was asked if I made dog collars. I didn't, so I thought I'd better so something about it! My dog-owning next-door neighbour advised on the details, such as making sure there were no rough edges to catch on hair and irritate the dog, and using stitching rather than rivets to ensure strength and a long life for the collar. I sourced some buckles, and here are the resultant dog collars :)

This is a custom-made item and cannot be returned unless faulty.

Full description

Soft and supple hand-stitched leather dog collar using quality veg-tanned leather. The combination of hand-stitching and the leather used makes this dog collar both comfortable and hard-wearing. The edges have been carefully smoothed to ensure no rough parts to catch on your dog's hair, and the leather is finished off with a leather treatment solution of natural oils and beeswax.

When you order please let me know which thickness collar you want (25mm, 20mm or 16mm) and the circumference of your dog's neck. This can be measured using a soft tape measure, or by measuring your dog's existing collar. Measure from the most used hole, to the end of the leather where it goes around the buckle (ie to the end of the leather if the collar is laid flat or to the bar across the buckle if your collar has a double bar buckle like the one shown in the picture).
