applique & freehand embroidered zombie girl fabric bookmark.
these fabric bookmarks are quite substantial, measuring approximately 25 cm x 6 cm (10” x 2.5”), and are machine washable.
this sleepy blonde beauty is wearing a layered dress in blue linen & a pretty floral liberty print fabric. her painted lips contrast with her deathly pale corpse blue linen face.
the cotton fabrics are layered and appliqued onto calico and the intricate details drawn on with free machine (free motion) embroidery.
this bookmark is made entirely on a domestic sewing machine – there is no computerised wizardry here - everything is cut, stitched and handmade, with care, by me, ensuring each item is unique, well made and securely constructed.
due to the very nature of free motion embroidery, blood spatter & handmade, each bookmark will vary eeeever so slightly.
i make the bookmarks up in heavy weight cotton calico, they're stiffened with interfacing, and the edges are neatly top stitched.
i prewash all of my fabrics so they shouldn't shrink when washed, however blood (it’s fabric paint, honest) may fade over time.
my design is based on an original drawing by Little Black Heart, and is used under license.
