Full description
This classical style of pearl necklace is one of my favourite pieces to make. I have used coloured silk thread to create the knots between the freshwater pearls and to add a modern twist. You can select either pink, blue or white thread, however, if there is a different colour that you would prefer please contact me to arrange this.
Using silk thread I have hand knotted between each pearl, this prevents the pearls from rubbing against each other and damaging their surfaces. Knotting between each pearl also allows the necklace to fall nicely when being worn. The necklace is finished off with a sterling silver clasp and the total length of the necklace is 18 inches.
Pearls are always popular as wedding jewellery and the traditional style of this necklace with the modern twist of coloured silk thread makes it a lovely gift for many occasions.
This necklace takes many hours to make and truly is a labour of love.
