Full description
This unique super lightweight nuno felted scarf has been made using a black silk chiffon scarf and merino wool fibres.
A blend of grey and black merino wool has been nuno felted around the border of this silk chiffon scarf and an area of black merino wool added to one corner at the ends. Flowers have been added to the black area using white silk fibres. The central portion of the scarf has been left unfelted exposing the sheer silk chiffon fabric. Although felted on both sides, the silk floral decoration has been added to one side of the scarf only.
Nuno felting is a process which allows the woollen fibres to bind with the underlying silk.
A beautiful scarf that can be worn in many ways, tied around the neck or draped across the shoulders. It is a short scarf measuring approximately 120cm x 29cm (47.25" x 11.5")
The scarf will be sent wrapped in floral tissue paper making it an ideal gift. Perfect for mothers day or any other occasion.
