I AM IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING ITEMS FROM THIS SHOP TO MY OTHER FOLKSY SHOP 'Lynwoodcrafts' where they will be waiting for you to view them! All my items now feature upcycled, recycled, repurposed or gifted materials and there is no longer any distinction between the two shops!
I was playing around with some ideas for table decorations and card inserts and this was the first result.

A bright red flower displaying the greeting 'With Love' to display, perhaps on a shelf, window sill or desk - a lovely gift for Valentines Day or an anniversary!
Vintage fabrics in shades of red and white, have been used to form the six petals of a simple flower shape. The petals have been hand-stitched to an interfacing background backed with red and white spotted fabric, and blanket stitched to edge. A red vintage button has been used for the flower centre. Green eco felt (commercially produced from recycled plastic bottles) covers a roll of wadding and is stitched to form the stem. The base of the stem is attached to vintage buttons, covered in green felt, and finished with a base of the 'hook side' of hook and loop fastening. The leaves are cut from vintage fabric backed with green eco felt. A plastic bottle top, covered in fabric, filled with wadding and with a circle of the 'loop side' of the fastening, forms the base.
This flower is displayed with the greeting 'With Love!', hand-written in orange ink, on an interfacing plant label.
Height: 16 cm approx.
To be posted as a 'Large Letter' the flower will be presented attached to a flat card, wrapped in cellophane, and ready for you to insert into a greeting card and post onwards ('assembly instructions' included) as shown in the final 2 images featuring another flower in this series.
Note: Not a toy. Not suitable for children under 36 months - small parts may represent a choking hazard.
