I am a retired IFA whose hobby is to make things out of wood on my lathe, all sales proceeds are distributed to a number of different cancer based charities.
This item was made from a log I found in my store locker, which had been ignored but once I had it on the lathe and taken off the bark, the beautiful markings in the wood revealed themselves. I deliberately made it chunky rather than delicate to show off the beauty of the wood.
