This beautiful substantial puffed Turquoise Howlite Gemstone Heart has been set onto silver tone keychain findings, with a 3cm diameter split ring, to allow this item to function as a keyring, or handbag charm if you prefer.
Howlite is a calcium boron-silicate hydroxide that usually occurs in sedimentary rock formations. This mineral was named after a Canadian mineralogist Henry How who first discovered it a Nova Scotia gypsum quarry in 1868.
This gemstone in the shape of a puffed heart, has been gently polished, with rounded edges, so wonderful tactile and with its turquoise tones, is perfect for anyone who loves that colour combination or as an alternative gift for some with a birthday or anniversary in December.
The Gemstone Heart has been drilled between the two heart lobes and set with a silver tone triangle Bail and completed into a functioning item with silver tone keychain findings.
Approximate Measurements:
The gemstone itself measures approx 4cms by 4cms at its widest points and approx 10mms in depth in the centre. The whole Keyring measures approx 10cms in total length.
As this item is a gemstone item, it is not unbreakable, so not for robust use.
