Full description
Bluebell Wood is the title of this original textile applique artwork from Heidi Meier.
This artwork was created using a selection of fabrics, some of which were hand dyed by Heidi, and layered using raw edge applique techniques. Ribbon embroidery was used to form the bluebells in the foreground and the detail of the remaining picture has been worked using free style or free motion machine embroidery, which is where an artist uses the sewing machine needle as a paintbrush.
The textile embroidery measures A3 in size and is framed in a contemporary white frame and double mounted with acid-free mounts. With the mount and frame, the approximate overall hanging size is 21 inches wide (53.5cm) and 17 inches deep (43cm).
The artwork will be sent recorded delivery or can be collected from my studio in Essex if you prefer.
This design is also available as a giclee print and a blank greetings card, and is part of Heidi Meier's British Landscapes collection, and looks fabulous in any number of modern or traditional settings.
