After building up a base of layers of clear enamel on the copper shape I added a coat of yellow, Over this I scattered red, white, turquoise and purple enamel powder in concentric rings and added a rod of black enamel at the centre. When the piece was at red hot , in the kiln, I drew out the pattern of spokes with a steel point. The pattern created is unique. It has a textured element in that the enamel sets smooth but not necesarily flat, hlding some of the strokes of the steel point and adding a disturbance to the play of light on the piece.
The dish measures 81mm in diameter and is about 8mm deep.
