Full description

I have built up a base of clear enamel over a copper dish then added a layer of deep blue. After firing this I added piles of white enamel and scattered transparent firing gold and red enamel that would show their colour over the white on some of them. When the piece reached red heat in the kiln I drew through the surface with a steel tip to create the unique, random pattern. The dish has a textural element in that there are places where the surface has set smooth but uneven after being drawn through.

The dish measures 82mm in diameter. As may be seen in the photographs, it is a little warped as a consequence of being fired to red hot several time. Nonetheless it does sit stable on a flat surface. The dish measures 82mm in diameter. You might use it as a dressing table tray or a table centrepiece. Among other uses customers at fairs have suggested my dishes and bows may be just the thing to use to drop a tea bag on when you take it from your mug or cup, or may make useful soap dishes

Your dish will be sent by Royal Mail, first class, signed for or by international signed for, as may be appropriate, within three days of your order. If you prefer another delivery service please let me know before you place an order.
