This is an original linocut printed in black and white. It is from a limited edition of 50 and is signed at the bottom of the print. Print measurements are 23.5cm x 33cm and paper size is 33cm x 46cm. This is a unique design, fine in detail and is provided unmounted and unframed. The linocut approach involves cutting a design on the surface of a lino block which can take a considerable length of time. Proofs are then made before the final design is finished. Printing ink is rolled onto the surface of the lino and pressure is provided by a relief printing press transferring the image to a sheet of paper. It is only possible to make one print at a time and each print is therefore unique and may have slight variations.

The inspiration for this image was a really enjoyable holiday in Whitby, Yorkshire. I love the rugged landscape of Yorkshire which is very different from my adopted Norfolk. The hare is of course very much part of the Norfolk landscape, seen racing across ploughed fields.
