I love to go out and collect wild plants and objects that reflect the seasons and the changes in nature. The ceramic tiles are a way of preserving the life of the plant and capturing its structure and form at that particular point in it's life span.

Full description
Ceramic tiles have been created using locally collected wild botanicals. Characteristic of the British countryside. The tiles have been stained using oxides to give a natural rustic effect that preserves the imprint of the plant. The tiles have been fired to stoneware temperature. Then mounted on irregular untouched pieces of vintage wood to give the pieces a warm platform that also compliments the tiles. The wood is not of perfect shape or structure and does have imperfections such as chips, sections that are missing and irregularities. These quirks add to the overall look and compliment the handmade pieces. They look great as small collections hung on a wall.
The pieces have a small hanging hook attached on the back of the wood.
Wood piece is approx 26cm x 15cm
Designed by Louise Condon in Chester, Cheshire
