If you fancy an alternative to using a tea light to illuminate your design, the rechargeable USB cork light may be the ticket! If your ‘my little glowbox’ is a children’s night-light, illuminating one of my new range of children’s inspired designs, it can be left unattended with safety in mind. Like all LED lights it has an extremely low heat emittance. This USB cork light has fifteen fairy lights, which produce at least 6 hours of undimming intense light. I am currently trialling this USB light at craft fairs and have found that the charge and light intensity lasts for 7 hours, and longer at a lower intensity. The USB charge time is a mere 20 minutes using a computer USB port or a mobile phone USB charger plug.
This USB light has the benefit of being more flexible than mains supplied fairy lights, because the ‘my little glowbox’ can be moved to any location you wish, indoors or outdoors. The USB cork light stands securely but freely in the ‘my little glowbox’ so it can be removed, should you wish to use a candle tea light. I can recommend citronella tea lights to repel insects for an evening outside and the LED lights once you move indoors. Can you imagine anything better for glamping!
