I suppose my initial inspiration came from fire-watching when I used to go camping, and experiencing a relaxed feeling from watching the flames. During childhood holidays in the UK and France my parents took me to churches and cathedrals; pretty boring for a young lad, but I found myself transfixed by the light streaming through artwork created hundreds of years earlier. I am now inspired by contemporary stained glass window designers, and by art nouveau motifs created by various artists. I like to use existing designs and create my own in a similar style. The vibrant contrasting and complementary colour schemes offset the neutral colour of ‘my little glow box’ perfectly.

After many enquiries, both online and at craft fairs, I have finally completed my first children’s range. I say completed; if the demand is good then there may be more issued in the new year. Due to their current popularity it is… unicorns!
I have created both running and rearing unicorns with two choices of background and several colour alternatives. My two unicorns have rainbow hair and pink hair. My unicorn creations are all my own designs, and have been created to warm and brighten a room, reassure a waking child in the night, or create an atmosphere of fantasy in any room.

1. Pink haired sun dancer – yellow / Orange / White / Silver / Pink / Purple
2. Rainbow haired sun dancer – Yellow / Orange / White / Silver / Red / Dark Green / Gentian blue / Purple / Pink
The idea of creating a children’s range of designs is so that ‘mylittleglowbox’ can be used as a night light in conjunction with a rechargeable USB rechargeable fairy light, which can also be purchased from my shop at a very competitive price.
