I AM IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING ITEMS FROM THIS SHOP TO MY OTHER FOLKSY SHOP 'Lynwoodcrafts' where they will be waiting for you to view them! All my items now feature upcycled, recycled, repurposed or gifted materials and there is no longer any distinction between the two shops!

Some lovely tweed fabric from a recycled skirt, and some lovely vintage threads and tapestry wools inspired this design.

Full description

A striking design of beautiful purple, lilac and magenta flowers, liberally embroidered and felted onto the front panel decorate this pouch-shaped purse, cut from recycled skirt tweed.

Fabric, cut from a tweed skirt, was fulled (felted) by a hot wash machine cycle. Hand-dyed wool fibres have been used to needle felt flower shapes onto the front panel of the bag. All the felted flowers have been completed by hand embroidery in cotton and wool. The background of the design has been heavily embroidered with many other flowers and leaves in purples, pinks,lilacs and greens.

The purse is lined with a vintage cotton fabric featuring pink flowers with green leaves on a blue and lilac background. The purse closes with a stitched cotton loop over a metallic silver, vintage button. The purse is suitable for coins or other small items.

The purse is pictured with a matching bag which is listed separately.
