During my regular charity shop visits I'd noticed a large number of children's single duvet covers for sale. Out grown, unwanted maybe but in great condition. Then I started thinking about making memory ragrugs from previously loved bedding and here is the first! Once a Tinkerbell duvet cover and now a gorgeously soft ragrug - I love the colours and can't wait to make more.
All fabrics used in my rugs are upcycled so colours and sizes of individual rugs varies hugely on what I find. This is all part of the process - source, design, make and then hopefully sell!

I made this pretty rag rug from a gorgeous Tinkerbell cotton duvet cover that I washed, cut into strips and crocheted with love and a whole lot of patience!
Take a look at the original fabric used.
The rug is 100% poly cotton in shades of turquoise and white with flecks of pink, yellow, green and lilac.appearing as the fabric has been crocheted in the round.
66cm or 26" diameter
Hard wearing yet really soft and warm underfoot
A great rug in homes with children or pets as so easy to wash, just pop in a washing machine
Will look stunning in your home whether in a living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, children's bedroom or playroom, home office/study or conservatory
All my rugs are handmade by me, no two rugs will have the same colours or pattern. In fact this inherent characteristic adds natural beauty to the rugs. All fabrics used have been upcycled so colours and sizes of individual rugs varies hugely on what I find. This combines my passion for sourcing unwanted clothing and fabrics with my love for designing, making and creating something that not only looks great but has a practical use.
