original freehand embroidered floral zombie penguin textile art canvas - grey.
this chunky little canvas features a beautiful flower embellished zombie penguin.
the frantic looking penguin is cut from silver grey linen and liberty print cottons, and the tiny hand-cut flowers are (so patiently!) layered and appliqued onto hand dyed cotton calico.
i draw on the intricate details freehand, using the free machine (free motion) embroidery technique.
this piece of original textile art is made entirely on a domestic sewing machine.
there's no compeuterised wizardry here - everything is cut, stitched and handmade, with care, by me, ensuring it’s unique, well made and securely constructed.
the embroidery is stretched over a 5x5 inch (12.5cm) canvas frame, which is 1.5” (3.5cm) deep and would sit nicely on a desk or shelf.
penguin is numbered, dated & signed on the reverse.
my design is based on an original drawing by my sister - Little Black Heart - and is used under license.
