Recently shortlisted for the Evening Standard Art Prize
Pack of five eco-friendly cards, stitched from conked-out stuff.
The £10 price includes £1.30 first class post (I will not be posting outside the UK), which means that each card ends up at £1.74. Just to put that into perspective, a mass-produced postcard in a London art gallery costs £1.
They are already packaged in sewn envelopes (made from magazines - see image) and ready to be posted, as soon as payment is received. You won't know what you're getting. I won't know what you will be getting either. Hence the 'Lucky Dip'.
Each card is handmade and totally unique. Some are postcards, and others, folding.
I am selling them off cheaply because they have been taking up valuable cupboard space for way too long, or they are waiting to be blogged about (which will never happen), or the envelopes don't quite match, or they are slightly flawed, or I can't find the notes I made when making them fifteen years ago, or I just don't have the time to take photographs and list them in my shop individually, or, all of these things. I want to make new stuff.
There is a video giving more information on my Twitter, Instagram and Facebook feeds.
£1 from this sale will go towards establishing the Khadija Saye Memorial Fund. Khadija tragically lost her life in the Grenfell Tower fire. The fund will help young artists whose background and circumstances might not grant them access to such support.
