Valentine's Day Early Warning. I'll be taking a couple of weeks of Me time from 5th Feb so please order early. xx
A stained glass suncatcher made entirely by hand using the Tiffany Copper Foil technique.
Please note this listing is for one purple witch but I do have 2 for sale, as well as 2 red ones as a separate listing.
I've dressed these witches in purple as it seems a suitable colour for a witch. The pointy hat is decorated with a silver star and the hair is made from curls of wire which flow out behind..
I've christened these witches Wixt and Twixt but I've no idea if they like their names as they never respond when I call them. All they do is stick their tongue out at me rudely as they fliy past.
The witch is riding the skies on her broomstick which is made from twisted wire. Her cat rides behind.
They were rather cross after being attacked by a hot soldering iron. Hopefully the chill night air will cool their tempers.
This suncatcher hangs from a silvery chain securely attached by solder to the top.
It is 11cm in diameter and the witch looks pretty magical when she flies across the window in search of ingredients for her spells.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure they are unique.
The 5th photo shows these 2 purple witches and also 2 red ones also for sale as separate listings...
I had been asked if make a witch flying on a broomstick. I said no as i didn't then but I do now.
I was so pleased when I finished the first and I hung it in the window to check it - I found that I was smiling - that is exactly what I like people to do when they see my suncatchers
I hope it makes you smile too.
Please note : POSTAL CHARGES : . I always part-refund postage via Paypal where more than one piece is ordered to allow for combined postal charge. I do this as soon as I receive your order.
