Full description
A beautiful scarf in grey with a striking poppy design. This scarf has been made using merino wool fibres laid over silk chiffon and nuno felted. A poppy design has been added to one side of the scarf prior to felting with the reverse felted but left plain. Nuno felting is a process whereby woollen fibres laid over a silk chiffon fabric are worked in such a way as to force the fibres to migrate through the silk and bind with it.
The resulting scarf is beautifully soft, very sheer and lightweight and drapes beautifully around the neck. Ideal for spring or summer wear but equally suitable for the cooler months. The scarf measures approximately 110cm x 35cm (43.3" x 13.8") and is supplied wrapped in floral tissue paper but an upgrade is available as a separate listing in my shop allowing it to be packaged in a kraft card window presentation box making it an ideal gift.
