i'm sending everything with royal mails tracked 48 service, there's no signature required, so i've found it best for quick, reliable and convenient service. i can usually post same day.
it's been a real labour of love getting this pretty birdie collection complete - each item is unique, featuring a different combination of liberty & cotton fabrics, and each tiny portion of flower was handcut with my teeny elf scissors.
i thoroughly enjoyed the Extreme Fiddle making of them... but i'm now looking forward to setting them free!

freehand embroidered floral bird notebook cover with A6 sketchbook.
the little bird and swirly floral design on this embroidered cover features a co-ordinating combination of liberty lawn, coloured cottons and linens. each tiny component is hand-cut and (so patiently!) layered then appliqued onto cotton calico. the detail is stitched on freestyle, using the free motion embroidery technique.
this cover is made entirely on a domestic sewing machine – no computerised gubbins - everything is cut, stitched and handmade, with care, by me, ensuring each notebook cover is unique, well made and securely constructed.
the slipcover is made from heavy weight calico which has been pre-washed several times so it’s soft and should not shrink when washed.
the cover is stiffened with interfacing, & the seams are overlocked and topstitched.
the calico cover is washable and re-usable, simply replace the sketchbook when it's full.
the sketchbooks are manufactured in the UK. they are quality casebound hard cover books, containing 92 pages of 140gsm acid-free, all media cartridge paper.
my design is based on original drawings by Little Black Heart, and is used under license.
