This little (13cm x 18cm) bag is made from Liberty of London Tana Lawn cotton. The seams are sewn using a 1930s Singer treadle sewing machine but it is finished by hand to make it more robust. The ribbon is double sided satin from Berisford's.
The print is called Ffion and it was designed in 1959.
Please note the items in the bag in the second and third photos are not included. They are for illustrative purposes only.
I've always loved Liberty prints and when I moved to Chesham I was thrilled to find that Sir Arthur Liberty was born and lived here. I started making these little bags last winter. I've called them gift bags because that is what I used them for initially but in fact they're rather more than that. They are incredibly useful for keeping small items together when travelling or just out and about. The bright colours make them easy to spot in large handbags!
