Item details

This little (13cm x 19cm) bag is made from Liberty's Tana Lawn cotton and fastened with double sided satin ribbon. The print is called Glenjade and it was designed in the 1930s. Each bag is carefully sewn using a 1930s Singer treadle sewing machine and finished by hand to ensure robustness. These bags are washable and can be used time and time again.

I've always loved Liberty prints and I was thrilled to discover when I moved to Chesham that Sir Arthur Liberty was born and lived here. I wanted to make something pretty and useful using these fabulous prints and these little bags are the result. I've added a couple of photographs to illustrate what they can be used for - invaluable for holidays and for keeping small items together in larger bags.
