Full description
A beautiful piece of silk chiffon hand dyed in green, pink and yellow shades has been nuno felted to a base layer of natural white merino wool fibres. The nuno felting process allows the wool fibres to migrate through the silk and bind with it to create a new fabric which has a soft, warm woollen base layer and the vibrant coloured silk on top. The coloured silk is on one side only with a woollen layer on the reverse.
The scarf measures approximately 146cm x 19cm (57.5" x7.5"), long enough to wrap around the neck or tie in various ways. Cool in summer yet warm in winter this scarf would make a lovely addition to any outfit. The scarf is supplied wrapped in floral tissue paper with a label describing the felting process and full washing instructions.
