Combining the beauty of hand dyed silk with the warmth and softness of merino wool this scarf has been made using the nuno felting process.
Natural (undyed) white merino wool fibres have been laid in fine layers over a hand dyed silk chiffon scarf in autumnal shades of brown, green and orange and nuno felted. This process causes the wool fibres to migrate through the silk and bind with it resulting in a beautifully soft and warm yet lightweight scarf. The reverse of the scarf is white wool fibres.
Designed to drape around the neck, the scarf measures approximately 132cm x 30cm (52" x12"). Cool in summer yet warm in winter this scarf would make a lovely addition to any outfit. The scarf is supplied wrapped in floral tissue paper with a label describing the felting process and full washing instructions. An upgrade is available as a separate listing in my shop allowing it to be packaged in a kraft card window presentation box making it an ideal gift.
