Full description
A wet felted vase made from merino wool fibres in a blend of green shades. This delightful vase has a very structural feel to it. It has been wet felted over a resist to produce a seamless cylinder and has then been shaped to fit over a glass bottle insert with various spikes and fronds extending from the upper edge. After felting it has been slightly stiffened to increase its strength and rigidity. The glass bottle insert is included in the listing and allows the vase to be used for freshly cut flowers if desired. Note: the felted vase on its own, without the glass insert
is not waterproof and may lose some of its shape if allowed to get wet.
The vase stands approximately 22.5cm (9") tall with a base diameter of 7cm (2.75") and the fronds reaching out to approximately 20cm (8") in diameter.
