Sterling silver earring studs. Choose a pair by mixing and matching the styles pictured.
Made from my silver scraps, off-cuts from sheet and ends of wire.
I straighten and chop and neaten the ends of discarded wire into little sticks, and heat scraps of silver into little balls before soldering sterling silver ear posts to the back of each. I polish to a high shine finish.

Ball studs (approx. 4mm/5mm)
It's important to be accepting of slightly varying lengths due to the recycled nature of this product. The ball studs have an imperfect texture and vary slightly in size too.
I love them, and that they are made from silver pieces that would otherwise be waste.
I hope you like them too. They come displayed on an earring card and nestled in one of my branded pillow boxes and posted first class.
It’s always bothered me, all my scraps of silver, the waste!
I worked as a Fair Trade Designer for over a decade and it was a big part of my role, to be mindful about anything from paper waste to the companies carbon footprint. We developed a lot of ranges from recycled materials in India, Bangladesh, Bali and Nepal from plastic bags, bottles and packaging to the re-using of production waste and factory off-cuts.
I’ve often just stared at my off cuts of silver and wondered, what could I do with it short of having it melted down into recycled silver to then re-work?
And here is the result in these earrings. Using my discarded silver. It's a start! And I love them.
