Full description
I have hand made this box using best quality plywood and decorated it using traditional marquetry techniques.
The box is veneered all round using mahogany, burr rosewood and burr maple to create a freehand `curve` design. I have included additional marquetry on the sides to compliment the design on the lid.
All the veneers are hand cut with a scalpel and carefully fitted together to create a truly unique and eye-catching design.
The lid is fitted using solid brass hinges housed into the box (not surface mounted) and secured with a good quality brass catch. Inside the base of the box is lined with soft black baize.
The surface is finished with shellac and wax polish to create a super smooth non-reflective sheen.
