I have a little resin model of a Chinese moon-gazing hare and, back in 2009, I thought it would make a lovely brooch and box. It turned out to be very popular!

Full description
Little pewter jewellery or trinket box with a moongazing hare design, a lovely gift for any occasion.
This tiny wooden box has been transformed with a lid of lead-free modern pewter, set with a genuine rose quartz cabochon. The mythical hare of pagan legend gazes up enraptured at the moon.
The scene has been raised by hand in sheet pewter using the repousse method, then the metal has been mounted on the wooden base, patinated and polished to a deep shine.
The box measures 30mm high and 40mm across. The wood had been sealed with a coat of clear varnish. The lid is loose fitting.
