I have some sewing journals bound into books dating from 1920s full of inspiration and extraordinary things to make! This little duck design was in one of them, and I have adapted the design to include some water, a pretty border of polka-dot fabrics and a little heart applique in the corner. A quaint little chap who would cheer up a corner of any room, not only a nursery!

Full description
This is a hand-stitched framed miniature textile. I have cut the little pieces from my own hand-dyed cottons stitching everything into place with tiny stitches. The finished textile is framed in a lightly distressed whitened wood frame measuring 7" (18cm) square and the embroidery will arrive with glass in place, corded, with my studio stamp on the back, all ready to hang up.
Although I do repeat my designs from time to time every piece of my work is unique as fabrics, threads and design details vary. The mount carries the title 'Patchwork Duck' and is signed.
Lovely gift idea for any age! I will include a little white card with double-sided tape in place for you to affix to the back of the picture, so you can add your own personal gift message should you wish to do so.
