The University of Glasgow begins it's ascent. This iconic structure's symmetrical shape of piercing steeples and array of windows create a space-rocket like structure. The distinctive line of centuries old autumnal trees morph into the rocket's thruster clouds. Whoosh!
Set in a perfect evening for flying to the stars, the locals wave and cheer on Starship UG1451.
Founded in 1451 (there's the link!), the UofG is the fourth oldest university in the English speaking world and holds fond memories and connects with so many of us.
This illustration's connection with rockets and stars also holds an important meaning to students past and present, for this world famous institute of learning is the launch pad of aspirations, careers and vocations.
