Full description

This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.

A hippopotamus, round and blue and called Percy. No idea why, it just seems to suit him.

The hippo body is made from bright blue coloured textured glass and the face, which is added on top, is pink. I've painted all the markings on the face and the toes then baked the painted pieces in the oven to make the paint permanent..

This pretty little hippo is finished off with a twist of wire for a tail .

A silver coloured little chain is securely attached to the top with a little ring to hang it.

The hippo is 10 cm hign and 7 cm wide.

This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
