The fishing port of Looe used to have a Pilchard factory, employing lots of locals. Unfortunately pilchards went out of fashion, as did the jobs!

Full description
'Plichards in a Tin' wall plaque is made using Cornish stoneware clay from St Agnes & decorated with my signature denim blue & white slip & glaze. Each piece is rolled out, then i brush on the slip, when it is leather hard I scratch through the illustration, to reveal the white clay body underneath. After the initial firing, I then dip into a big bucket of glaze (I use my own special recipe) and fire once again.
