I am happy to wrap and send gifts direct to recipients with a note - just specify their delivery address when you check out (I use track 24 or special delivery so you can follow it round the country to the recipient). Full description
This oblong 'dog tag' like pendant features a cabochon of fordite bezel set in sterling silver and is reversible to show the different patterns and colours on each side. The 'front' is very swirly with red, teal, yellow and gold on a white background whilst the 'back' is less swirly and colour but features rarely seen green shades as well as orange and aubergine on a white base. So what is fordite you cry? Well its layers of paint that built up on the walls and rails in the spray booths at old car (and truck) factories, the method of painting cars has now changed so this wonderful material is no longer made and getting harder to source. I cut and polish this material myself and the guy I purchased the rough from knew that it came from one of Ford's plants in Kentucky in the 70's, we think due to the amount of white that it was probably the truck production line (which means there were some seriously colourful and sparkly trucks in the 70's).
Measures 1 5/8 inches from top of the bail to the bottom and 1 inch across (41mm by 25mm) and comes with a 16 inch sterling silver chain - if you would prefer it on cotton cord or leather thong then please drop me a message and I'll check it fits through the bail first. Comes gift boxed.
