Inspiration - Sometimes you see a group of things together and they already know what they want to be. This necklace almost made itself, I just had to put it together.

Design - This necklace has been made with a dyed howlite skull, a copper toned heart, and a vintage key all hung on a vintage toned branch. The key has been wrapped in a hand sewn peyote made from delicas. The chain measures 24in/61cm in length and closes with a lobster clasp.

Extras - This bracelet will be supplied in an organza bag.

Ideas - This would be a great addition to a Steampunk costume.

Children - This item is unsuitable for small children. This is not a toy.

Sometimes a group of items end up all together in one little pile on my workbench. It's almost as if they are telling me to make something with them. That is exactly what happened here.

In the back of mind I always saw it as a Victorian ladies necklace, worn in full view but with a secret. Her secret was the man she loved and the key opened a box full of his letters and promises.
