Inspiration
I saw the wool in the shop and I just loved it. It's so colourful and happy. This is a lovely, soft variegated wool and it's so nice to work with, not least because the colours are constantly flowing. Making the blanket was like creating a rainbow with my crochet hook.
The colour mix of the blanket lends itself nicely to a simpler crochet stitch, whilst the bulk of the wool meant a taller stitch could be worked to show more colour variation.
