Full description
This delightful nuno felted scarf has been made using a blend of orange shades of merino wool fibres blended with bleached tussah silk. The fibres have been laid in a very fine layer over a silk chiffon base fabric and nuno felted. This is a process which causes the fibres to penetrate the silk and bind with it. The scarf has been felted on both sides.
Designed to drape around the neck, the resulting scarf is amazingly soft and lightweight. It measures approximately 124cm x 42cm (48.8" x16.5"). Cool in summer yet warm in winter this scarf would make a lovely addition to any outfit. The scarf is supplied wrapped in floral tissue paper with a label describing the felting process and full washing instructions. An upgrade is available as a separate listing in my shop allowing it to be packaged in a kraft card window presentation box making it an ideal gift.
