129mm high x 187mm wide x 189mm deep.A Celtic knot veneer in light and dark timbers, set in a beech frame, with a hand cut comb joint in a pale frame underneath, accentuating the beauty of the pinkish beach and the light and dark contrast of the lid, with a diagonal cross in mahogany. Inside a lift out tray has another set of storage underneath. A lovely box that should serve you well for years to come. teak, beech, pain and mahogany and MDF are all included in the make. The first picture is taken outside on a picnic bench and probably has the best colour match, the others being taken with a flash.

This box started with a Celtic knot design that I cut out in different coloured veneers, then mounted on MDF (as I had read it is the most stable base for a veneer). The beech frame followed and then the rest of the box was built underneath. The red material is synthetic with a sticky back, as I read it is best for jewellery ( suede can cause tarnishing apparently). I like it and will be sad to let it go to a new owner, but I hope you will look after it and appreciate the effort that has gone into making it and enjoy owning it as much as I enjoyed making it.
